Term One - Week Four
Kia Ora whanau.
A big thank you to all of those who were able to make it to our Ngā Puna family dinner/ 'pool party' as the children called it! It was lovely to chat with you all. We had a great time and appreciated you all coming along.
Welcome this week to our newest students to Waimairi School, Luciana and Angus. It is lovely to have you with us as you start your school journey in Ngā Puna.
The weather is looking fabulous this week! Please continue to bring togs daily so we can make the most of it (free swim slots permitting!) It's wonderfull to see how much our water confidence has grown over these last few weeks. We are practising entering and exiting the pool safely. We enter the pool by sitting on the side, placing our hands beside our bodies, turn, then slip into the water.
Thanks for naming your child's items of clothing. It makes for an easier time finding things if they go 'walk about!' We are currently looking for a named fleece with Nico on it. Please pass it onto us if you come across it on your travels.
Today we visited the library and were able to issue a book. Our library day is Monday.
Below are a few photos from over the last week. We have been focussing on the sounds 'sssss' and 'mmmmm' as well as making repeating patterns during maths time with the equipment.
Have a lovely week all.
As usual, please come and see us if you have any questions or queries.
Many thanks
Tina and Tania
