Term One - Week Five
Kia Ora families.
Another lovely level 2 day for us. No tears, happy faces and children that just got on with their day. Thanks a bunch, you guys are doing great!
The sounds we are focussing on this week are 'P' and 'T'' . We are focussing on not adding a 'ugh' at the end, e.g. 'm' is 'mmmmmm' not 'muh' and 'T' rather than 'Tuh'. Check out our cool P formations and pictures of pigs!
This week we will be talking about places that are special to us. Have a conversation with your kids. It could be a holiday destination, a favourite place/room in their house, a space they like to play at school, or at home, e.g. tree house. We will be making connections and finding common themes amongst our ideas.
Our library day is Monday. Please ensure books are returned to school each Monday so we can issue new ones for the children. They are allowed to issue one book at a time. They have special white/calico library bags that they will take them home in. Feel free to decorate these however you wish! May make it easier to locate amongst the class set.
On a Friday we send poetry books home with children. Look at their cool illustrations and enjoy the poems together. It would be great if they can come back on the Monday after weekend.
Thanks for returning the K.I.T (Keeping in Touch) books back to school each day. The activities are just a follow on from what we are learning in class. There is no expectation that you must do them each night. If your child is keen, go for it, you know them best.
As usual, any questions please get in touch. We are here to help.
Many thanks
T&T
