Welcome to week 2. We hope you enjoyed the lovely sunny weather and family time over the long weekend. Here are the notices for Week 2. Welcome to Michell McMaster who starts school this week, we are so excited to have you join us here. We have started a new mindfulness program throughout the school called Pause, Breathe, Smile and had our first lesson last week. Have a chat to your child about what mindfulness means to you. Our definition for them is "noticing what is happening now, with kindness and curiosity' Term 4 is a HAT TERM so please make sure your kids have their hats at school so they can play outside in the sun :)  Vaccination proof - please see all communications from Mike and read carefully about this. We value parent helpers and involvement hugely at Waimairi and don’t want to cut this off, we just need to go through the right channels in order to do so moving forward. Week 11

 Kia ora whanau, Well, it's finally here, week 11 the last week of term one. We have had an amazing first term of 2021. Thanks to you for all your support and for trusting us to look after your precious children. We love to watch the children grow and learn whether it is learning letters and sounds or learning how to ask for help when needed it's all-important learning and development. Five year olds have such busy brains and they work super hard at school and we are very proud of them. They (and you) deserve a lovely break. You had a fabulous first day and we are so pleased that you are here in Nga Puna with us!! It's a four-day week for the children this week. We have a Staff only day on Friday so there will be no supervision for the children. Week 9, Term 4

 Hi everyone, This is the last week of term! Here are some important things to put on your calendars: Tuesday - Junior sport rotations 11.30-12.30 Wednesday - Meet 2022 classes Thursday - School closes at 12.30   Friday - No school. First day of the summer holidays. Please look in the schoolbags for an envelope containing class placement details for next year. All the children enjoyed their tennis lesson this morning. Aren't we lucky to have such amazing opportunities in our community! The focus was on ABC - air, bounce, catch. The children made ice creams and pancakes with balls, cones and rackets! Thank you for all your support and encouragement this term. We know it has been tricky in a lot of ways, but we are so proud of the way the children have developed incredible resilience and independence. Merry Christmas from the Nga Puna team.
