Welcome to Ngā Puna - The Springs

Welcome to Ngā Puna - 'The Springs’

We (Tina Dower, Tania Stott and Lynley Cummack) are thrilled to be working together as the New Entrant teachers in Ngā Puna. We are looking forward to welcoming new families to our Waimairi community as well as re connecting with existing families as younger tamariki are beginning their school journey. Here are a few notes/reminders for all. Please do come and see us if you have any wonderings.

  • School starts at 8:50am. Please help children unpack their bag for the first we while.
  • School finishes at 3pm each day. We ask you to  wait outside the classroom  until we let the children go
  • We enter and exit the Ngā Puna building from the outside doors. We will practise this with our children and they can show you which door to use for pick ups and drop offs
  • Lynley works in Ngā Puna every Friday for Tania who works 4 days a week
  • Home learning folders and K.I.T ( Keeping in Touch) books need to be returned to school daily
  • Water bottles sent to school daily
  • Fruit break - fresh vegetables or fruit daily for fruit break in class time
  • Blog - https://ngapuna2021.blogspot.com/- Our main form of communication to see what we are learning in Ngā Puna
  • Swimming - Please send named togs and towel to school daily, this way we can make the most of any ‘free’ swimming spots outside our allocated times
