See you all on Wednesday

Kia ora,

We are very excited to see you all on Wednesday, and have been waiting to see all your smiling faces.

We are very familiar with the routines of school, and sometimes ‘forget’ the simple things you need to know.

Please do contact us if there is anything that you want to know. If you are wondering, others will be too.

Ora teachers -

In Nga Puna there are 2 teachers, with Lynley teaching for Tania on a Friday (Beginning week 2 ) Your child will have their own Ora teacher who is in charge of their overall wellbeing and is your first port of call if you have any wonderings.

Wednesday morning –

School starts with a Mihi Whakatau (welcome) for the new families and children to Waimairi School. All you need to do is meet us inside the Tillman Ave gate from 8:30 onwards. No need to unpack bags or come to Ngā Puna.

After the ‘ceremony’ we will share summer fruit and make our way to Ngā Puna together.

Water bottles -

Please bring a water bottle daily

Fresh Fruit/Vegetable -

We stop and have a dedicated time for fruit break during the morning, where children can only eat fresh fruit or vegetables. Please make sure that there is something suitable in children’s lunch boxes.

Swimming –

We are fortunate enough to have swimming in Terms 1 and 4. Please can you send togs to school every day (named) that way if there is a spare slot outside our allocated times and it’s a sunny day we will be able to make the most of it! (We only swim if the temperature is over 16). No swimming this week.

Bike day -

Fridays are bike days in Ngā Puna. Children are able to bring their bikes and helmet and we will supervise them riding their bikes during learning choices starting this week.

It is so nice to know we will be meeting you and your precious children again in just a couple of days.

We feel privileged and honoured to be able to work with you and your children during this year.

Enjoy your children for these ‘last’ couple of days.

Our Whānau wall is looking lonely! We would love a photo of your family to add whenever you can.
