Term One - Week Six
Kia Ora Whanau.
Trip to Orana Park - Wednesday the 24th of March
As part of our topic learning for Social Studies "Connecting to Places' Nga Puna are visiting Orana Wildlife Park to learn more about the animals our spaces are named after and their dispositions. An educator from the zoo will be taking us around the exhibits on a guided tour. Nothing like getting up close and personal with some of the animals our spaces are named after!
A note will be coming home this week asking for parent helpers. Orana have asked for a total of 10 adults for the trip including teachers. We are asking for four parent helpers for each Ora class, four for Tina and four for Tania. Any additional parents who are wanting to attend on the trip can use an annual family pass if you have one, or pay a reduced entry fee of $15:00 to come along. We will draw names out of a hat for parent helpers if we get too many. Children will be travelling to and from Orana Park by bus. The contribution for this experience will be added to your child's termly activity levy and is a total of $20.
Pyjama Party picnic!
This Friday we are going to have a picnic on our new lawned area in front of the netball courts, in our Pyjama's! P is for Pyjamas and P is for Picnic! Your child can bring a teddy to share lunch with on our picnic. No need to supply anything 'special' as such, we will take our lunchboxes down with us and eat outside rather than our normal inside eating routine...but in our Pyjamas :)
The sounds we are focussing on this week are 'C' and 'I'. We will be spending the next few weeks consolidating the sounds we have been learning ( M,S,F,A P, T, C, I)
Our lovely Tania was off sick today. She is missing us terribly, as we are her however she is in the right place. Kate Mitchell was in for us today and will be joining us tomorrow also whilst Tania gets better.
Here's to another lovely week.
Any questions or queries team please get back to us. We are here to help.
Many thanks
Tina and Tania.
