Term 4 week 3

Welcome to Aayansh Shrestha who started today in Tina's room. We hope you have a lovely start to your schooling. We still have some children without hats. If children take their hats home, please make sure they come back to school the next day. If children don't have a hat, duty teachers will ensure they sit or play in the shade at morning tea and lunchtime. Please continue to follow Mike's instructions regarding proof of vaccination. We love having parent helpers, and want you to be able to continue your involvement. Our mindfulness programme, Pause Breathe Smile, is continuing throughout the term. We are encouraging children to notice what is happening now, with kindness and curiosity. Michaela and Jordan from Sport Canterbury are coming in on Wednesday mornings this term to take children for games in small groups. The children have been loving it!!  Wednesday - Bey Blade day, lunch orders, Vanessa and Sue's class to the library Friday - Bike day

Feeding the lambs

A big thank you to Sylvie's mum Phoebe and her mother Heather for hosting us at home. What a wonderfull experience for our newest members of Nga Puna, some of whom missed out on our trips at the beginning of the year. We had such a great time and enjoyed seeing all the animals, rabbits, chickens, guinea pigs, lambs and ducklings! Lots of firsts for our tamariki today, first time over railway bridge, first school 'trip', and first time feeding lambs.
