Maths Week

This term our school will be taking part in New Zealand Maths week.

This is a great opportunity for us all to shine the light on maths learning. We are excited to be sharing in a range of activities throughout the school including a Maths-a-thon fundraiser to raise money for resourcing to benefit mathematical learning at our school.

Later this term, students will be building up to the Maths-a-thon in classes and we will be asking for support from home too - more information to come soon!

This is not only a chance for students to really practice, and hone their maths skills, see the relevance of maths in our everyday lives, enjoy the sense of fun it can bring and raise some money.

You can find more information about New Zealand maths week (9th-13th August) here: https://www.mathsweek.co.nz/

And check out these ideas showing simple ways that maths can be included in activities at home: https://nzmaths.co.nz/maths-our-house

Thank you for your support.
