Term 3- Week 1

Welcome back to Term 3, week one. We hope you had a lovely break and managed to get some precious family time in. We are recharged and ready for a funfilled and busy term 3!! Welcome to Pete Fowler who joins us from Cobham intermediate whilst Mike is on sabbatical this term. Thanks to all of you who came to our Matariki celebration on the last Thursday of the term. It was a great way to bring the community together and share some kai. We also really enjoyed doing our Matariki activities in Ngā Puna. Welcome to our new 5-year-olds who are starting school with us this week. Some of them are new families to Waimairi and some have existing siblings here already, either way we know that you will welcome them with open arms. Whittakers chocolate - Term 3 fundraiser

Connect Waimairi holds a range of fundraising and community events throughout the year and this fundraiser (which is only held every second year) complements our other major fundraisers for 2021. This year we will be selling Whittakers chocolate from 02nd August - 16th August with one box of chocolate provided on 02nd/03rd of August to each family that wants to participate, to take home and sell to family, friends, neighbours and workmates. Term Two - Week 10

 Kia Ora Whanau. Welcome to the last week of Term  Two.   And just like that, it's holiday time next week!  We hope you all have a relaxing break filled with family. A reminder that this Friday the 9th is a staff only day. We will see you all again on Monday the 26th of July. This Wednesday the 7th of July we are having a shared lunch to farewell our friends Taylor and Isaac. Please bring a plate of food to share. We will miss them! Have a great time at your new schools.  Happy Matariki! Join us on the field this Thursday at 7am for a Mihi Whakatau while the Hangi pit warms up. We will have a simple breakfast of cereal and milk in Ngå Puna after the hangi has gone down. Please bring your own bowl and spoon for you and your child if you are having breakfast at school with us . Some gluten free cereal will be provided.
